Join the Taster’s Table Club team on Tuesday, May 28th for two seatings of a special, one-of-a-kind dinner at Intero. Chef Ian Thurwachter & Chocolatier Krystal Craig of Intero Restaurant will be collaborating with a trio of mainstays from the Vancouver restaurant scene for a special, 5-course dinner featuring local, Texas proteins. The dinner will also feature a welcome cocktail and after dinner cocktail through a collaboration with Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur and Monkey Shoulder Scotch Whisky

Chef Ian Thurwachter & Chocolatier Krystal Craig
Born and raised in Austin, husband and wife duo, Chef Ian Thurwachter & Chocolatier/Pastry Chef Krystal Craig sought to share their love of Italian cuisine and their combined knowledge of savory and sweet. Both self-taught in their professions, each attributes the inspiration of their work to influences they had growing up. Bringing together over 35 years of collective experience in the food and restaurant industry, along with the talents of many friends and family, the couple opened Intero together in 2018.

Chef Brock Lane
While Brock might not have all the foodie write ups to read over, his work and resume speaks volumes for his craft. A longtime of work under restaurants owned by Latin America top 50 chef, Jair Tellez but in Vancouver and Mexico City has found him now in Annalena in Vancouver, one of the top 50 restaurants in the country.

Chef Tim Schulte
Tim Schulte, who grew up in a small German town outside Cologne. After serving as sous chef at a number of restaurants around Vancouver and Australia, he returned to Bauhaus in 2017 as executive chef. “I kinda fell in love with this country when I was here three years ago and thought I’d love to come back,” says Schulte, who was awarded Best Chef of the Year in Germany in 2013. Bauhaus has had the honor of being highly-acclaimed internationally recently it was listed as a restaurant to watch by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ Diner’s Discovery Series. The list is considered the ‘next generation of dining destinations.’ This past year Bauhaus was listed as one of the best German bars and restaurants around the world by CNN, and as part of the new global face of German cuisine by Wine Enthusiast.

Chef Tushar Tondvalkar
Tushar began his culinary career attending culinary school for a 3 year program in Mumbai, India in 2007. After 1 year in the program he spent time in the Vancouver food scene before taking an opportunity to work at Gaggan in Bangkok, Thailand, a two Michelin star restaurant that is listed as the #1 restaurant in Asia and #7 in the world. Currently, he is the executive chef at Mumbai Local in downtown Vancouver since August 2018.
